We took a hike nearby looking for birds. We added a red-naped sapsucker, northern redstart and northern waterthrush to our life list. We saw several white-crowned sparrows and this one was kind enough to stay in the bush beside the trail and let me photograph it.
I took this photograph near Beaver Pond, Glacier National Park, Montana. I used a Nikon Z5 camera using a NIKKOR Z 100-400mm ƒ/4.5-5.6 VR S lens (1/400 sec at ƒ/5.6, ISO 640, 400mm). I edited and cropped the image in Adobe Lightroom.
