In keeping with the theme of recent bird photographs, here is a beautiful Eastern Kingbird that posed for me yesterday. We are traveling east from Glacier and stopped at a campground that happened to be near Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge. After dinner we went there looking for birds and identified a record (for us) 44 different species. The Refuge contains a fifteen-mile motor loop that goes around a large lake.
I took this photograph yesterday in Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge near Malta, Montana. I used a Nikon Z5 camera using a NIKKOR Z 100-400mm ƒ/4.5-5.6 VR S lens (1/640 sec at ƒ/5.6, ISO 450, 400mm). I edited and cropped the image in Adobe Lightroom.
